Who is Alterna-Clean?

Alterna-Clean is a locally owned and operated full service carpet cleaning business.  We service the Prescott Tri-City area offering both residential and commercial cleaning services.  Alterna-Clean is a multi-certified company using the patented HOST dry extraction system.  The HOST system, with over 20 years of service, is a proven alternative to traditional water/steam cleaning products.  The benefits of minimal water and superior clean will make your carpets look better and keep its shape longer.  Through the use of our patented cleaning system the air quality in your house or business will be improved through the reduction of common dust allergens, dust mites, mold spores, and cat allergens by 75%-85%. 

Alterna-Clean uses Environmentally Preferable products (EPP) certified by the Environmental Protection Agency.  These products have a lesser or reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared to competing products that serve the same purpose.   In addition to EPP, Alterna-Clean services are additionally Green Seal Certified.  This certification is given to products or services that meet all the EPP requirements and additionally use renewable resources, use only cold water, and limit the use of disinfectants.
 

The international certifying body, WoolSafe Organization, has given its approval of our system to be used on all wool and wool blend carpets.  This certification guarantees that our product has low resoiling characteristics, low alkalinity, no bleaching agents, no optical brighteners, is non-flammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally friendly

Biopreferred Certified products are composed in whole of biological products or renewable domestic agricultural materials.  Biopreferred products are safer for the environment than their petroleum counterparts. The HOST system is the first carpet cleaning system to receive this certification.  Our product does not require any special disposal.  In fact the waste products from the cleaning process can be composted.
